Literacy Intervention Specialist

As a dedicated educator with a passion for supporting children with learning difficulties in literacy, I bring a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to making a positive impact on their lives.
I am passionate about connecting with children through play and open communication to foster their love of learning and help them reach their full potential both in and out of the classroom. I create an inclusive, authentic, and engaging environment that promotes student voice and agency.
I use an evidence-based approach to literacy with expertise in reading, writing and spelling and I have a particular interest in interpreting cognitive and educational assessments. I assist parents in understanding their rights within the education system and facilitate collaborative communication with schools and individual teachers with a strong emphasis on student advocacy.
I am a qualified teacher and intervention specialist and I have worked in both public and private school settings. This includes seven years at Melbourne Grammar School, a stint at Caulfield Grammar School and 10 years at McKinnon Primary School.
